Last week I came across this blog and decided the project was so easy even I could do it (with the help of my mom).
Sunday afternoon my mom and I sat down and had it done it no time. Well, the parts we could with the supplies we had. It was super easy. I applied the tissue paper to the jars with mod-podge while my mom cut out the faces. It was the perfect job for each of us. I got to be messy picking mod podge off my hands for hours, while my mom cut out really good faces. Once we put the raffia on the pumpkins and painted the tops of the monsters all we had to do was pop in a flameless candle. My mom is going to get some more canning jars this weekend so we'll be able to make some more to complete our sets and give away to others.
In case you didn't already know, I had every intention of making homemade Christmas cards last year. I bought all of the supplies and sat down one night but couldn't get past cutting out the first holly leaf. Thus ended that project. If I didn't have my mom around to help out on this project, it probably wouldn't have gotten done. Or at least I'd have pumpkins without faces and purple and green covered jars that would not look good on the mantle.
The project went over so well that we have also planned our Christmas craft. You'll have to wait to see those. For now, take at look at our pumpkins and monsters. The little one up top is currently on its way to our nephew in MN.

On a completely other note, Charles loved the poop sign.
More than I did. It made his Thursday.
