We arrived in Ft. Wayne at noon on Thursday to start the Stephenson Thanksmas celebrations. We had a delicious meal of all the regulars: Turkey, Ham (which was not at the first Thanksgiving or Thanksmas), two types of potatoes, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. By the end of the meal we were stuffed.
Later that evening we continued the Thanksmas celebrations with many desserts and gifts. We had a white elephant of sorts and each grandkid received some "collector's items" from my grandparents. C and I made out with an awesome old tanker truck, "What's your poo say about you? 2009 Calendar" (which in my opinion can be useful no matter the year), a naked baby, dominoes, and the most prized possession, a bug house for when I catch lightning bugs.
We spent Friday and Saturday getting my grand parents house ready to be put on the market. It was fun to find things that had so many (good) memories attached to them. By noon on Saturday we had most of the rooms "staged" (not quite up to HGTV's standards).
Sunday C and I decorated our place. Here's a sneak peak....
Please note the mantle lights are not lit because I can't seem to locate my extension cords.
