Spoon Roast

This delish, tastes-like-you've-spent-hours-and-lots-of-money-prepping-and-cooking spoon roast has just 4 ingredients and cooks while you are at work all day. I'm pretty sure it cost me less than $10.

Spoon Roast

What you'll need:
a spoon roast from Carnival. (If you don't have a Carnival foods - and if you don't live in Lancaster or Newark, then you probably don't - I'm sure your grocery has something similar it's just a marinated roast)
1 can beef broth
Kitchen Bouquet
carrots (if you like cooked carrots - I personally LOVE them)

In the a.m. hours, place the roast in the crock pot (use a liner!!). Here's what you're looking for if you go the Carnival route.

Add beef broth and however much Kitchen Bouquet as your heart desires (your heart should not desire more than a few teaspoons).

Halfway through the cooking process (perfect timing if you are heading home for lunch) peel a few carrots and add them to the crock pot.

After a few more hours (all in all, about 8 hours), remove roast and carrots, making sure to save the beef broth for your beef and noodles which you'll make with your left over beef, serve with mashed potatoes and enjoy!

I know from experience that this is a superb entree. However, your photo of the completed spoon roast might cause some readers to think that this is only suitable for a potluck at the Coroner's Office. Would photoshopping this particular cut of meat be possible?
