This weekend was a busy one. I hardly had any time to tweet.
Friday evening we finished setting up for the youth group yard sale. Then we dined at Chipotle and wondered what we did on the weekends when we were in school and why everyone else also waited until 9:00 p.m. for dinner.
Saturday morning we were at church by 7:30 with donuts and mochas. Despite the doors not opening until 8:00 a.m. we had a hoarder push her way through at 7:35 while the boys tried to carry out the couch. How do I know she was a hoarder? She left with crap. And when she asked if I would take $2 for a $3 decorative bicycle, I told her "No, that's an antique," she still bought it anyway. That's how I know she was a hoarder. And no, it wasn't an antique, but she felt it necessary to enter before we were open so I wasn't coming down on prices until at least 8:39.
The yard sale was over at 1:00 but people still came through as we waiting for some folks from Columbus to come pick up the washer and fridge we had listed on CraigsList. We are happy to report that we made it through our first CraigsList sale. All in the name of sending the youth to San Antonio.
The CraigsListers left at 2:30 and by 3:00 we were at the pool. Ahhh, the pool. I love it.
I told C I didn't want to plan what we were going to do that evening. I couldn't even think straight. He settled on Easton. He's such a wise one. Dinner was at the yummy Champps. We ate outside and listed to actually decent music. We finished up right before the first round of storms came in. Since I wasn't thinking and wore my (leather) Reef flip flops, we also had to make a quick stop at Old Navy for some $3.50 waterproof shoes.
We also stopped by Trader Joe's for some staples (more on those later this week). Despite having cleaned my plate at Champps, I was still famished. So we went to Yagoot for some coconut Yagoot. Oh my. We also ran into a few stores looking for swim suits (no success) and ended up at Barnes and Noble where I drank tea and read through cookbooks while C read who knows what.
Once we returned home, the lightening storms started. They were absolutely amazing. If you are facebook friends with my brother Drew, check out his pics. During the storm we caught up on some Big Bang Theory. I ate some Hot Fudge Sundae Pop Tarts (the not eating until 3 coupled with the running around all morning, really caught up with me).
Before church on Sunday morning we went to Tim Hortons to try out their espresso based mochas. They are half the cost of Starbucks and didn't disappoint. They aren't quite as rich which I think is a good thing for mochas in the summer. But then again, I don't drink that many, so you should probably take C's review over mine.
After church we sold a few more yard sale items to church members, went to McDonalds, and then went to the pool. In the evening we headed back to church to pack up everything so it could be picked up by the local thrift store today. Emily and I also ordered our new swimsuits from Victoria's Secret (C said I should probably just get a new suit (or 2) now instead of waiting - what a great husband!). We returned home and dined on delicious brats and hot dogs and frozen (but cooked) green beans while iChatting with the Elseas.
All in all, a very productive and enjoyable weekend.
