For your Monday morning reading enjoyment, here's a picture-less Weekend Rewind.
C worked late Friday evening so I came home, made potato soup, got Christmas cards addressed, and watch a four hour, two part Oprah Winfrey movie called The Wedding. I had absolutely no intention of seeing the movie through, but 4 hours later I was still watching.
I've found myself watching a lot of Oprah's channel recently. I have no idea why. The one thing I can't get in to... Rosie's new show (but I did watch her craft special the other night). It's just not good.
Saturday morning (after C got home at 4:00 a.m.) we slept in and then headed to Easton to get our Christmas shopping done. I'm not sure why, but I have managed to put off all things Christmas this year. aside from the tree getting up (which took a week and a half) I haven't made any cookies and have an unassembled gingerbread house sitting on the kitchen table. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we'll be gone for Christmas.
We started out at T.J. Maxx. What a mistake. It was super crowded and picked over. I think I actually had a minor holiday panic attack. We left about about 8 minutes, got some gas, and headed to Cosi for a late lunch and to regroup. C kept telling me once we got the first gift the rest would just come to us.
He was right.
We picked up something for my mom, headed into H&M (which I had never been in, but love!) and knocked out another three gifts, then headed to Barnes & Noble to pick up the last one. I had one thing left to order online, but I knocked that out last night.
We also saw Andrea Cambern, 10TV anchor, working one of the Salvation Army bell thingies. C got the bright idea that we should ask if she'd mind saying hi to my dad (he's kind of a big fan) if we gave him a call. She was more than willing to so we dialed him up and she said hello. She is super nice and beautiful. It isn't often that someone looks even better in person, but she does.
After spending some time in the B&N Cafe (C likes to sit there and read, I took my Peoples) we made our way back to Lancaster. C's a bit under the weather with a cold so I dropped him off at home, headed to let the girls out, and picked up some pizza for dinner.
We ended the evening watching Love Actually (one of out top 2 Christmas movies) and enjoying cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.
After church on Sunday (which was yesterday) we made breakfast for lunch at my parents house. C headed home to get some work done (he's got a big project he's been wrapping up) so I stayed back to finish up some of my homemade Christmas projects (something I've been working on with my mom for about a week). We almost lost one of them to a fire (don't put anything over the top of a candle) but were able to quickly save my project.
We also stopped by a surprise birthday part for Flo for church. Then C picked me up and we headed to starbucks so he could get a mocha and then went to Target for tissues (poor guy) and my replacement moccasin slippers which I use as shoes.
I ended out the night wrapping the rest of the presents (I've managed to make three rolls of wrapping paper stretch 2 years, I'm thinking I've got another 2 to 3 in them) and watching Moonshiners 'cause them's my people.

So glad to hear I'm en vogue. I use my Target moccasin slippers as shoes too.
