At 3:07 Friday afternoon, C and I welcomed Ainsley Lucille to our family. She weighed in at 7 pounds 11 ounces (thankfully not the 9.6 estimated by the ultrasound tech last Thursday) and was 20.5 inches long.
At some point I'll share the a brief rundown of her birth story. Nothing too detailed, just things like "we had 5 different doctors in 24 hours" as well as a list of things Rachel says while under the influence of Ambien.
As you can imagine, posts will be intermittent the next few weeks as we love her up and just stare at her (ok, and figure out how to get her to sleep in places other than our arms - turns out the phrase "sleepless nights" isn't an understatement). Until we're back to our regularly scheduled programing, be sure to follow me on twitter (where I still manage to tweet quite frequently).
I'm also taking suggestions for her blog name. Feel free to comment below with any suggestions (minus, "Ain-Train", *cough, C, *cough).
