1. I love hurricanes. Not the death and destruction, but hurricanes in general. I like all weather, really. That being said, I am all about Hurricane Isaac coverage. It's what I watch when I get up to feed Monkey at 4 in the morning (her preferred feeding time).
2. I'm also now following the Weather Channel's hurricane twitter feed, @twc_hurricane. Oh, and I have the hurricane app, iHurricane HD. As you can see from the screen shot below, I live nowhere near an area that is hurricane prone (but one year a majority of the city lost power for a week when the winds from Hurricane Ike came through. I, however, was on a work trip and didn't get to enjoy the lack of power).
3. Sunday night, while I was sitting outside waiting on my hotdog to cook, I flicked an ant off the top of the table. I immediately felt bad for doing so and wondered how long it took him to get all the way up there (I'm guessing it took up his entire afternoon). I then followed him around on the ground for a while until he found a new (larger) ant buddy.
4. We are on full blown OPERATION GET MONKEY TO NURSE over here. We've increased skin to skin, changed to bottles with the slowest flow, and I've told C he needs to force me to try harder. We'll see how it goes. I do think she'll come around, I'd just rather her do so sooner rather than later (read: 3 months from now).
5. I haven't been to a baseball game (other than high school) this year. No Clippers. No Indians. But by the looks of it, the Indians haven't been to a game since June either. I've been to an Indians game every year since I can remember. We may just have to make a trip at the end of September (maybe they will have won a few more games by then).
6. I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy watching Honey Boo Boo and that it actually makes me want to live in the South (but be more sophisticated).
7. We also watched Newsroom this year and loved it.
8. And I have C hooked on Chopped.
9. And I'm now just using single sentences to prolong this post.
10. I think I'm almost back to my blogging self.
11. Almost.
