With Thanksgiving over I'll full steam ahead in the Christmas spirit which means 1) planning Christmas dinner (first year to host - and make ham*), 2) watching every single Christmas movie Hallmark, Lifetime, and ABC Family airs, 3) thoughtfully choosing gifts for everyone (I have told C his Christmas is going to ROCK this year), 4) being cheerful.
I usually try to hold off on getting Christmasy until December, but I absolutely can't wait for Monkey's first Christmas (and am using the holidays to hide my worry of not having a job come January 4th).
So I'm going to try to post some Christmasy things in the upcoming weeks. Recipes. Favorite Movies. Any other requests?
But at the same time, I'm not going to worry about the blog. I'm going to try to not feel bad for not posting. Don't get me wrong, I love posting, but I've been in a bit of a blogging funk and I want to keep this this upbeat and cheery (not that I'm not cheery, but you get my point). So instead of posting blah posts that aren't good (maybe none of my posts are good), I'll only post when I've got good stuff.
Now I'm off to find (or buy more of because I most likely through them away) the Martha Stewart Christmas ornament and light clings I got last week.
Capeesh?**
* I HATE HAM.
**That is how I spell "capisce"
