I'm still unemployed (but did call unemployment to make sure I was on their radar). Good news is that I have a interview on Tuesday. I also bought a new suit for said interview because old suits don't seem to fit after you've had a baby. I had to go with a skirt suit because I didn't want to put the effort in to finding pants that were long enough. I also had to take my nice heels to the shoe repair man to have them fixed so I have something nice to wear on my feet on Tuesday. These shoes broke back when I worked for my first boss (over 4 years ago). When you can get away with wearing slippers to work (that totally look like shoes) you don't really put getting your high heeled shoes fixed at the top of your priorities list.
I used to look forward to the weekends because it meant I didn't have to go to work. Now I look forward to the weekends because it means C will be home.
I have a million dollar idea. Birch Boxes for diabetic seniors! It's brilliant. I just need a dietician to help me figure out what to put in them each month. I also need an investor. Aside from having nothing but the idea, it's still a great idea.
I'm make sloppy hoes joes tonight. That typo was too good to delete.
Monkey had her 6 month check up and shots (one for each month she's been alive) on Wednesday. I'll update you on that as soon as I take her picture (which I promise will be next week, NOT two days before she turns 7 months old).
I had something really good to tell you about but I can't for the life of my remember what it was. I even remember where I was when I was thinking about it (right next to the changing table).
Monkey got Let's Dance, Little Pookie for Christmas. Today I was informed that "pookie" means fart in Ukrainian. I will never look at that book the same again,
We are now watching Homeland. The review my sister gave it was "Sometimes I'm like 'what', but then I'm like 'WHAT'." She's a wordsmith, that one.
C loves it. I think it's ok, but not OH MY GOSH, DO YOU WATCH HOMELAND? good and I think it's because of the OH MY GOSH, DO YOU WATCH HOMELAND people who have totally set my standards so high that I was expecting it to be as good as Made of Honor (best movie ever - maybe). It's good, it's just not that good.
Tomorrow is Mark's golden birthday. 19 on the 19th. It'd stink to be born on February 29th and not get your golden birthday.
Since I can't remember the main reason for this post, I'll leave you with the above. I'm sure I'll think of it at the most inconvenient time. Like 2 in the morning or when I'm showering (which is when the unemployment people find it best to return calls).
Happy Weekend!

To be clear, those "WHAT???"s were because it is so good.
