When we purchased our house the back yard looked like something from the jungle book. I was 58 weeks pregnant and C and I did not inherit green thumbs (which do exist on both sides of our family).
With a lot of time and a lot of help from Mama Elsea, we've managed to get some work done. There is still much to be done (, the back right corner needs cleared out, three of more trees need to go because they will eventually die from being planted too close to other trees, and there is a huge pile of law refuse hidden behind that back fence) but we're happy the yard is a bit more livable.
(and we're still waiting on a storm to knock a tree on our garage so we can get a new one.)
