What we're eating this week. In preparation for Thanksgiving I'm pulling out all the Grandma Marlene recipes. Saturday I made Beef & Noodles (for our regular consumption) that we've been having this week and a few sides (squash casserole and mashed potatoes) to freeze for Thanksgiving. We've also had Chicken Broccoli Stir Fry.
What I'm reminiscing about. Monkey and GMac as babies. I may have gone through the blog archives yesterday just to look at the pictures from when they were littler.
What I'm loving. The upcoming holidays. We're hosting Thanksgiving so that is giving me something to focus on other than the colder, darker days. November can really be a bit of a Debbie Downer.
What we've been up to. We're getting some pre-Thanksgiving house prep done. I hope to tape the kitchen back splash today so that C can paint it tonight.
What I'm dreading. The longer nights and shorter days. Don't get me wrong, our new house is a godsend, but we really do love being outside. GMac is asking everyday if he can go play outside, but it's either too cold or too rainy.
What I'm working on. Thanksgiving prep. Thinking about Peaches prep. Hand bells for the Church Christmas Program (I have to run everything by my in house music director). Patience (always working on this one).
What I'm excited about. A girls weekend in StL to do some wedding prep for Mark and Abby's wedding next summer.
What I'm watching/reading. I just finished a Jane Costello book (I have to order them from amazon because apparently our library has decided to ignore my Inter-Library Loan requests...shame!). I'm not watching anything religiously other than a Hallmark Christmas movie here and there.
What I'm listening to. I'm really not a listener, but have started trying to have music on more when I'm cooking or cleaning the kitchen.
What I'm wearing. Fall/Winter maternity shorts. Unfortunately there will come a day when I'll have to wear non-elastic waistbands again.
What I'm doing this weekend. Wedding prep in StL! Eating at the restaurants that made the rehearsal dinner short list.
What I'm looking forward to next month. We should be getting an extra/bonus sonogram in December, also, Christmas!
What else is new. The above pretty much covers it.
